Beyonce posted a handwritten letter to Michelle Obama on her newly relaunched website www.beyonce.com/news/michelle-obama She writes about the First Lady of the United States being a role model her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, and an ‘ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman.’
Yesterday on April 4th saw the four year anniversary for Jay-Z and Beyonce since they wed. To celebrate it Beyonce launchd her own Tumblr site wwwbeyonce.tumblr.com/ similar to when Blue Ivy Carter was born, sharing private pictures that have never been seen before with the world. The pictures included her, Jay Z, her sister Solange, nephew Daniel Julez, and close personal friends.
The promise of regualar updates was left on the page in a message from Beyonce…
“This is my life, today, over the years—through my eyes. My family, my travels, my love. This is where I share with you. This will continue to grow as I do.”
She also did her first tweet..
Jay Z and Beyonce showed off their baby girl Blue Ivy Carter to the world for the first time.
The first photos went up on proud father Jay Z’s website Life + Times and on a new Tumblr called “Hello Blue Ivy Carter.” This could be the blog dedicated to Blue Ivy’s fans who will be able to see her grow.
There were five pictures in total, one with Jay Z holding her, one with Beyonce two of Blue on her own and 0ne with an adults fingertips touching the babys hand. The baby was dressed in a cream onesie and is wrapped in blankets.
Jay Z added a message to the photos, “We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives!! The Carter Family.”
We always knew that any child of the power couple Jay Z and Beyonce would be as famous if not more as the couple. The not even a week old Blue Ivy Carter has broken a record already as the youngest person to enter the chart on Billboard.
The song Glory entered the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B Charts at No.74 this weekend. The song which credits Blue Ivy Carter as B.I.C features her first moments into the world after birth as we hear her cries. She is the youngest person to reach the Billboard charts only 48 hours after birth. It is also a double achievement as it is the highest new entry on the chart this week, and B.I.C having a chart hit under her belt already.
Just a few days after Blue Ivy was born, Jay Z has already dropped a track which is produced by Pharrell in her honour. You can hear baby Blue Ivy right at the end of the track making gargling sounds, with Hov explaining how he feels since Blue came into the world.

Beyonce gave birth to a baby girl on saturday in New York at Lenox Hill hospital. The Daily News reported that Beyonce checked in on friday night taking over an entire floor of the labour department of the hospital.
“Hospital workers placed tape over security cameras and are forcing employees to turn in cell phones when they arrive for their shifts, the source said. Several security guards were spotted patrolling the outside of the hospital Saturday night.
A Lenox Hill staffer confirmed that a patient named Ingrid Jackson was in a “labor room.”
The name Blue Ivy Carter means something to Jay Z and Beyonce, Blue being Hov’s favourite colour and Ivy because 4 (IV being the roman numeral) is the couple’s favourite number. They were married on April 4th 2008, they have IV tattooed on their wedding fingers, Beyonce has an album called 4 and Beyonce was born on September 4th and Jay Z December 4th.
Their celebrity friends were tweeting congratulations and welcoming baby Carter to the world…
