Dynamite MC – Choices

Dynamite MC is a master of ceremonies, one that  Drum & Bass and Jungle lovers are familiar with, as he is one of the most prominent voices. On the 4th of December his album World Of Dynamite is being released and it comes with some classic bangers and some unheard material too, spanning Drum & Bass, Hip Hop, Breaks and Garage with production from some of the best including Roni Size, High Contrast, Wookie, DJ Zinc, Andy C, Zed Bias, Danny Byrd and more showcasing his musical legacy. ‘Choices’ a Wookie produced cut off the album premiered on Complex UK, it was originally released in the noughties and has been reworked for a fresh take in 2015.

Ms Banks – Hallelujah

Ms Banks has a confession to make in her new track “Halleujah” and that’s thanking God for exposing the fake people, and allowing her to see the light when it comes to people’s true colours. Now she’s all about the money and is grateful for that. The video has captured the essence of the track with it being filmed in a church, showing Ms Banks at the pulpit and shots of a choir. She’s made a strong name for herself this year; so next year should see big things!

Idris Elba – Murdah Loves John ft. Wretch 32 & Tanika

As Idris Elba returns for the 4th series of ‘Luther’ on BBC One next month, he will also be releasing an album in light of the loved fictional character. ‘Murdah Loves John’ the title track was premiered on Annie Mac’s show on Radio 1 this week. It comes with strong, shadowy lyrics from Wretch 32 and beautiful, grandiose vocals from Tanika. The track definitely has a Bond theme tune feel to it, with the dramatic production, building you up waiting for something to happen.

Ghetts x Rude Kid – One Take

This is the first video to drop from East London MC Ghetts & producer Rude Kids’ project #SixFiveThree which was released last week on iTunes. The visuals include footage from their launch party and you can spot some familiar faces such as Giggs, Tinchy Stryder, Griminal and more. The production samples a number of Grime tracks; Wileys’ “Igloo”, Dizzee Rascal’s ‘Hoe’ and Section Boyz “Lock Arrrf”, with double time, high energy bars from Ghetts.

Diesle ft Frisco & Demolition Man – Who Can Draw

Diesle is gearing up to release his debut album ‘Zion’ and teams up with Boy Better Know’s Frisco and Demolition Man for the first single ‘Who Can’ produced by King Yoof. Filled with jungle and reggae vibes, the two London MC’s bring their raw lyrics to the track and Demolition Man blesses the hook and his verse with his own different flavour. This is just a taster of what to expect from the ‘Zion’ album.

Kyle Lettman ft. Coco Dupree – Matter Of Time

‘Matter Of Time’ is the third track to be heard off Kyle Lettman’s stunning new EP ‘Under Construction’ released on the 27th November. It sees Kyle take it back to the slow jams era of R&B we all know and love from the 90’s. The singer/songwriter is known and loved for this style, and this one shows off the old skool R&B vibe perfectly, with Coco and Kyle joining and bringing a different flavour to the track.

Chase & Status ft. Bonkaz – Wha Gwarn (London Bars Vol III)

This is the third video release from Chase & Status in their London Bars series, and this time they chose a relatively newcomer to the game Bonkaz. Bonkaz follows in Frisco and Giggs footsteps dropping some heavyweight bars over a bass riddled track shot at Birthdays in East London, along with other locations. Bonkaz shows a more aggressive persona for ‘Wha Gwarn’ and his lyrics hit hard.

Tom Prior x Yungen x Squeeks – White Dress

Singer Tom Prior enlists two rappers South London’s Yungen and North London’s Squeeks for his new track ‘White Dress’ where they talk about women they see a future with. It’s definitely aimed more for the female audience and the rappers work really well with Tom’s vocals. The black and white visuals show Yungen and Squeeks in a house in two different rooms with two ladies, talking from the heart and Tom standing alone singing.

Wiley – 25 MCs

Wiley dropped the audio to 25 MCs in June and this week he released the visuals to accompany it. Produced by one of Grime’s best producers Swifta Beater its braggadocious but for a reason, as Wiley is the Godfather he reinstates his position on this track as the leader. It’s shot at his famous Grime night Eskimo Dance and features cameos of Grime’s biggest stars.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @LoickEssien @KokeUSG @CHASEANDSTATUS @OfficialGiggs @IsaiahDreads @casisdead @Young_Spray

Loick Essien ft. K Koke – Glory

Following his collaboration with Wretch 32 “Too Grown”, Loick Essien one of the UK’s favourite homegrown R&B singers hit up North West London rapper K Koke for “Glory”. This track is edgy and has UK culture written all over it, with Loick bringing sensational vocals and K Koke dropping a gritty verse showing he is back to do some damage.

Chase & Status ft. Giggs – More Ratatatin

Last week we announced that Chase & Status had started a series London Bars where they drop a track each week with some of the UK’s finest artists. Beginning with Frisco, they have this week moved on to drop a new one “Ratatatin” with one of UK Rap’s greatest Giggs. The Hollowman rapper spits over a sick instrumental that mixes hip hop and Grime showing him taking to the street and studio in the video. The next one up will be Bonkaz.

Isaiah Dreads – Lights Turn Green

A serious one to watch Grime artist for your radar for 2016 is 18-year old Dorset based MC Isaiah Dreads, who’s premiered the title cut off his forthcoming mixtape Lights Turn Green on Clash Magazine. It has a guest feature from Saskilla, and shows the wiser, maturer and confident Isaiah to his previous music. It’s calm, cool and graceful and is the introduction to the mixtape which is full of Isaiah’s explosive passion.

CASisDEAD ft. Giggs – What’s My Name [Directors Cut]

The masked MC CasIsDead dropped the Director’ Cut to “What’s My Name” last week and grabbed Giggs for the second verse. Giggs adds his menacing style of rap to the already gritty track and video and is seen walking with his crew. The impressive video still sees meth labs and serial killers with added intensity for the second cut.

Young Spray – Sho

North London’s Young Spray shows us a different side to his music as he drops “Sho”. This track sees him spray bars over a Show N Prove beat. Whilst normally dropping road bangers, this track shows a more upbeat, lyrically charged and witty Young Spray, and it could easily be heard in the clubs, not just on the road. We look forward to hearing more tunes like this from him.

One To Watch: YGG (@YGG_ @Saint @Lyrical_Strally @TheReal__PK )

k5zhpsycqqmxhixk9umu

YGG are a Grime trio from North London made up of Saint P, Lyrical Strally and PK. Through their hard work freestyling on radio sets on stations such as Rinse FM, NTS and Radar Radio, they have attracted a lot of attention this year. They dropped their official debut single “Okay” produced by Moony back in September which also brought a lot of attention their way, along with a recent freestyle on Fact’s series. They are full of charisma with big, fierce bars to match. Although the crew work undoubtedly well together keeping the connection there, they each have individual lyrical qualities that sets them apart from one other. 2016 is set to see huge things from this impressive and talented crew.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @ChaseandStatus @BigFris @Skrapzisback @CraigDavid @bignarstie @Bonkaz @scrufizzer

Chase & Status ft. Frisco – Funny

After announcing their London Bars series which will be released on their label MTA Records, Chase & Status dropped the first track from the series titled “Funny” featuring Boy Better Know’s Frisco. The beat is grimy and Frisco spits fluidly over it. At the end of the video we see Giggs calling the producers, is this them showing us he’s next? It’s a warm up for their fourth studio album, and will see some of the UK’s best MCs working with them on the project.

Skrapz – They Ain’t Ready

Church Road-rapper Skrapz has been doing his thing for a while dropping mixtapes such as “’80s Baby” and “Skrapz Is Back”. He’s warming us up with this brand new track “They Aint Ready” which is on his mixtape out November 13th “The End Of The Beginning” and will see features for high-profile rappers such as Wretch 32, Giggs and his Ice City Boyz comrade Nines.

Craig David x Big Narstie – When The Bassline Drops

Kurupt FM seemed to have kindled a musical bond between Craig David and Big Narstie when they went on 1Xtra for their Sixty Minutes Live session. The two clearly hit it off and went straight into the studio to record a track together. Their both legends in their own right in different areas of dance music and their new tune “When The Bassline Drops” is an absolute banger. It’s got an old skool garage vibe filled with Craig’s smooth vocals and Narstie’s heavy lyricism.

Bonkaz – You Don’t Know

Bonkaz relives the Grime culture he grew up in on his new track “You Don’t Know, sampling one of Grime’s most influential MC’s Dizzee Rascal’s track “Bonkaz”. He pays homage to Kano, More Fire Crew and Channel U amongst others. The video shows a more fun and light-hearted side to the Croydon-born MC and he couldn’t have picked a better-named tune to sample!

Scrufizzer – Rapid Freestyle

Scrufizzer is one of Grime’s fastest flowing lyricist and is impeccable at it. He takes on Rapid’s instrumental to drop nothing but hard bars, repping his ends West London too.
