Pixies Tracks Of The Week @OfficialNolay @MrJacobBanks @Shinobidan @officialdpower @YungReeks

Nolay – Netflix & Pills

Nolay’s storytelling and passion shine through her lyrics and delivery in her new track “Netflix & Pills”. The South London MC explores the topics of addiction and abuse in her hard hitting bars, with imagery and styling from London designer Nasir Mazhar to match the chilling descriptions. Production comes from Kid D and is expected to be on her forthcoming projectGrime, Guts and Glory.

Jacob Banks – Grace

He’s often described as an old soul in a young body as his voice and lyrics prove, but there is also always something new and refreshing about Jacob Banks too. He has a power and presence in all of his music. “Grace” takes us on a dark journey of controlling and devious relationships and the problems that emerge. The cinematic visuals portray the lyrics well, with the soulful singer telling Pigeons & Planes; “It was a great shoot with so many creative people. I was tied to a chair for 10 hours straight.”

Shinobi ft. L Dizz – Like I Do

Sheffield is doing its music scene very proud at the moment, and the North of England, in general, is booming with HUGE talent. It’s thanks to veterans who have non-stopped worked hard to not let their talents be unknown and have continually pushed their scene. One of them is Shinobi a Steel City representative who has just dropped the video to “Like I Do” featuring an upcoming Sheffield MC L Dizz. Production comes from the mighty Sticky Blood who draw on the early days of Grime who a fast paced beat, allowing the two different generations of emcees to showcase their flows and bars.

D Power ft. Olivia Louise – Work It Out

D Power has brought back the refreshing grime female vocals over a hard beat for his new track “Work It Out” where we hear Olivia Louise singing to him that they can’t work it out, whilst D Power is trying to fix it. The Audio Slugs produced tracks allows the hard beat to interweave with the honeyed vocals and D Powers bars. This is the 2nd single to be taken from his forthcoming debut album ZION.

Yung Reeks – Blood On The Money

Yung Reeks is one of the hardest working rappers in the UK right now and this week he has dropped two tracks “Pray 4 It” and “Blood On The Money”. He’s due to drop a new project soon Ambition 2 where these tracks might make the cut for. Make sure you play this loud!
