Mike GLC one of the UK’s most established rappers releases the video to Greatest Of All Time (Warning Shot) which is the going to be on his forthcoming album Remember Me out on September 3rd.

V Festival is a combination of good music, good people and good vibes and I headed down to the Hylands Park site (Essex) on Saturday afternoon for the two-day festival. Arriving in the afternoon we then had to head to the campsite and do the fun part – putting up the tent. Skip to two hours later and we were back at the car enjoying a cold drink before making our way inside…
DJ Fresh showed Essex how to have a good time when he played the Arena Stage with singer Fleur providing the vocals. Everywhere I turned there was a moshpit for this set and everyone seemed to really be having a brilliant time.
Beyonce headlined Saturday night in Chelmsford where I caught the last half of her set, which was enough to see the superstar do her thing with her new blond bob and a combination of sexy outfits – including a sequin purple leotard and a white top with black sequin embellishment and white trousers. She performed ‘Crazy In Love’ ‘Singles Ladies’ and closed on my favourite track ‘Halo’ to rapturous applause.
Sunday was a better line up for me personally and because I stayed the night I was there bright and early to catch as much as I could. I started off my day backstage chilling, enjoying a bit of Jason Mraz who sung the old but good track ‘I’m Yours’.

I then headed off to catch the London boys Rudimental who as always put on an amazing set. DJ Locksmith kept the crowd energy high all through the performance. Their performances of ‘Not Giving In’, ‘Free’ ‘Waiting All Night and ‘Feel The Love’ were all amazing, but my favourite part was after their performance of Fugees ‘Ready Or Not’ – they did a mix going into drum n bass and then one of their tracks.
Kendrick Lemar has had controversy surrounding him at the moment and his performance on Sunday on the 4 Music Stage proved why he is one of the best rappers at the moment. He worked the crowd, interacting with them to get more and more of a better response and delivered dark and soulful tracks such as ‘B***h Don’t Kill My Vibe’, ‘Compton’ and ‘Money Trees’.

Emeli Sande left shudders running through me as I watched her (I’m ashamed to say for the first time) on the Main Stage where she blew me away opening with ‘Heaven’ and moving onto a personal favourite of hers ‘My Kinda Love’. Naughty Boy also joined her on stage playing the piano for ‘Wonder’ and ‘Lifted’.
Returning the favour to Naughty Boy, she came on his set halfway through to perform to us ‘Lifted’ again and a new track called ‘Pluto’ that we will be seeing on his forthcoming album ‘Hotel Cabana’.
Yungen also performed a rather soulful track which we should also expect to see on the album along with the hit record ‘La La La’.
The unforgettable vocals of Gemma Fox are back on brand new single Sunshine. The lead track Sunshine from the forthcoming ‘Awake’ E.P release, reworks the Dance classic ‘I Need Your Loving’ by Baby D (or originally Korgis ‘Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime), and is brought bang up to date with the production care of Dexplicit and the distinctive haunting melodic vocal courtesy of Gemma.
Mr Wretch 32 proves why he is one of the most successful and acclaimed rappers the UK has birthed, he can literally rhyme on most instrumentals, come up with real and thought provoking lyrics and still make it into a hit.
Colours releases the visuals to Real Rap taken from his recent mixtape Where’s My Money (Reloaded). He has kept up the consistency releasing new tracks but not over bombarding fans with too much material. Colours is showing why his name is one to stay with his impressive flow and why real rap should make it this year.
Young Don is joined by Smiler and singer Starboy Nathan for his new video Live For Today which will be on his forthcoming mixtape The Weather Man 2 out in August
This is another video to be released from Sneakbo’s Certified EP. Trust Nobody really for me shows Sneakbo at his finest as he spits some honest bars proving why he is one of the UK’s top calibre rappers.
Rapper Yungen take to 1Xtra to give them the first play of his new track Money Doe Paper. He follows up from his mixtape Topic Of Discussion with his first official single produced by one many are talking about Diztortion.
Jaja Soze is one of the most original and honest rappers to the UK has birthed, and Misguided is no different. He enlists the help of singers Ruby Smith, Nylah and Don Jaga for this new thought provoking track.
