Loick Essien ft. K Koke – Glory
Following his collaboration with Wretch 32 “Too Grown”, Loick Essien one of the UK’s favourite homegrown R&B singers hit up North West London rapper K Koke for “Glory”. This track is edgy and has UK culture written all over it, with Loick bringing sensational vocals and K Koke dropping a gritty verse showing he is back to do some damage.
Chase & Status ft. Giggs – More Ratatatin
Last week we announced that Chase & Status had started a series London Bars where they drop a track each week with some of the UK’s finest artists. Beginning with Frisco, they have this week moved on to drop a new one “Ratatatin” with one of UK Rap’s greatest Giggs. The Hollowman rapper spits over a sick instrumental that mixes hip hop and Grime showing him taking to the street and studio in the video. The next one up will be Bonkaz.
Isaiah Dreads – Lights Turn Green
A serious one to watch Grime artist for your radar for 2016 is 18-year old Dorset based MC Isaiah Dreads, who’s premiered the title cut off his forthcoming mixtape Lights Turn Green on Clash Magazine. It has a guest feature from Saskilla, and shows the wiser, maturer and confident Isaiah to his previous music. It’s calm, cool and graceful and is the introduction to the mixtape which is full of Isaiah’s explosive passion.
CASisDEAD ft. Giggs – What’s My Name [Directors Cut]
The masked MC CasIsDead dropped the Director’ Cut to “What’s My Name” last week and grabbed Giggs for the second verse. Giggs adds his menacing style of rap to the already gritty track and video and is seen walking with his crew. The impressive video still sees meth labs and serial killers with added intensity for the second cut.
Young Spray – Sho
North London’s Young Spray shows us a different side to his music as he drops “Sho”. This track sees him spray bars over a Show N Prove beat. Whilst normally dropping road bangers, this track shows a more upbeat, lyrically charged and witty Young Spray, and it could easily be heard in the clubs, not just on the road. We look forward to hearing more tunes like this from him.
