Pixies Tracks Of The Week @iAmShakka @Davinche @OfficialKoder @Loadstar @Bonkaz

Shakka – Don’t Call Me

Shakka is one of the greatest R&B talents to come out of the U.K, and this track is another banger from the West London artist who continues to smash it. ‘Don’t Call Me’ flashes between past and present with emotional trauma and tells a story of relationship trouble, but not his own, his friends confiding in him of theirs.

Davinche, Capo Lee, Mic Ty, Jammz – Nah Blud

The second video dropped from Davinche’s forthcoming ‘Powers’ album, and this time he drafted in some of Grime’s hardest lyricists Capo Lee, Mic Ty and Jammz to shell it down over a dark and grimey production.

Koder – Vibrations

Koder brings us a powerful track and visuals for his new track ‘Vibrations,’ which is inspired by Jesse Williams speech at the BET Awards last year. Koder spits about the wrongs going on in our society, but saying how he’s still got hope and faith. It’s an inspirational, winning track from the South London artist who brings some sick gritty, animated visuals in red and black to match the track.

Loadstar – I Need The Night
This is a brilliant new cut from Loadstar’s forthcoming album on Ram Records. Liquid D&B at it’s best with some nice vocals on it from the Bristol boys who are now veterans of the Drum & Bass scene. If this is anything to go by their album will be pretty good! Let the bassline vibrate through your body and listen to the drums roll out and enjoy!

Bonkaz ft. Jevon – Lonely

Bonkaz drops a new video ‘Lonely’ taken from his ‘Fuck Fame’ mixtape released last year. It’s a relationship based track and talks about emotions people go through and their thoughts and feelings. It’s a deep one from Bonkaz who is assisted by Jevon who provides the smooth hook and production.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @OfficialChip @ROtripleX @MelisaWhiskey @Jammz @KingPMoney

Chip – Winter Time

Chip dropped a video for the ‘Winter Time’ where he sprays some cold, icy bars over a haunting beat produced by Scholar. Chip addresses his haters with style, fresh lyrics and positivity, proving how he is one of Grime’s strongest MC’s about.

Roxxxan – Oouchie

Roxxxan drops the freestyle to the classic Nas track “Oochie” giving it her own flavour and finessing the beat with eloquence and style. She packs in hard punchlines and her endless flows joined by a seductive, shimmering visual ending her 2016 on a high.

Melisa Whiskey – Played

Soulstress Melisa Whiskey brings us the visuals for ‘Played’, the first cut off of her forthcoming debut EP. It displays soul and emotion and shows off her velvety vocals perfectly. It’s reflective and it’s full of realness which you can see in the video through Melisa’s eyes.

Jammz – Danger

East London Grime MC released the visuals to ‘Danger’ this week taken from his ‘Warrior’ EP released in November. Jammz not only spits hard bars throughout the track. but also produced the beat too as well as co-producing the video alongside Risky Roadz.

P Money – Conspiracy Don

After releasing his brilliant new album ‘Live & Direct’ a few weeks ago, P Money now blesses us with the visuals for a track taken from there ‘Conspiracy Don’. The video matches the aggressive sounding flows and bars from P whose sound and style is as on point as ever.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @bignarstie @DoubleSmusician @SafoneMadone @Jammz @TODDLAT

Big Narstie – BDL Skank

Big Narstie drops the video to his future Grime anthem ‘BDL Skank’ where he gets things tropical. Watch the lively video where Narstie himself shows you how to do the dance. Big Narstie also launched his ‘Base Invaders’ game on Friday where it headed straight to No.1 in the app charts.

Double S – Yana Darg

Double S represents Grime in a perfect way capturing it’s spirit and true form, and his new track ‘Yana Darg’ is an example of this. Produced by The Heavytrackerz, Double S spits over a thundering beat like an experienced mic controller that he is.

Safone – Heard Of

Safone goes in hard with his new track ‘Heard Of’ where we see him at a car impound. His skippy flow complements the pace of the beat well, as he talks about how he has Grime that “No one else ain’t heard of…”

Jammz ft Scott Garcia – It’s A London Thing

Scott Garcia released ‘It’s A London Thing’ back in 1997 with MC Styles, and has sampled it for his tune of the same name with Jammz. The bass heavy production lends way for Jammz to spit his commentary about London, whilst the video gives a outlook of some different scenarios.

Toddla T Meets Andrea Martin ft. Silkki Wonda – Always

Toddla T warms up our autumn with this bittersweet brand new track, now with the accompanying video for “Always”. To launch his Steeze label, he teams up with Andrea Martin an R&B icon who is responsible for writing many R&B classics such as En Vogue’s ‘Don’t Let Go’ and Silkki Wonda who brings the patois, making this a chilled out reggae tune.

Five Emcees To Watch Out For In 2016 @UncleMez @AJFromTheLane @Jammz @MsBanks94 @TheCocoUK

Mez

Mez is definitely the next in Grime. A young Nottingham artist from Crew 12, he started 2015 on a high by spitting bars on Sir Spryo’s Grime Show on Rinse FM. The rest of 2015 saw some pretty big accomplishments for him such as being on the legendary Lord Of The Mics series where he battled Trappy, putting out a single with DJ Cable ‘One Line Flows’, going on Stormzy’s ‘Live In The Flesh’ tour, performing live at the Boiler Room x Eskimo Dance alongside artists such as Ghetts and last but not least being asked to record for the Grime Live Orchestra at Maida Vale on a session back to back with AJ Tracey. He has serious energy and a lyrical badness that’s not to be messed with.

Mez

 AJ Tracey

West London’s AJ Tracey has had a lot of heat surrounding his name due to the amount of hard work and consistency. He has flourished in 2015. He represents Grime’s original days, where MC’s would go to pirate radio as much as they could for the love and commitment they have for the music. He has been putting in the work on radio shows in 2015 from Rinse to NTS to Radar Radio and 1Xtra. This shine’s through in his bodies of work he has released in 2015, his two EP’s ‘The Front’ and ‘Alex Moran’, as well as individual singles such as ‘Spirit Bomb’ and freestyles where his wordplay shines.

Jammz

East Londoner Jammz has really struck out this year. I’ve seen him MC’ing on sets with Plastician at festivals and raves such as Ceremony Festival where he drew the crowd in like a pro. This year has been a fantastic year for him; he released his ‘Hit Then Run’ EP in March, and if you listen to radio, well you can’t miss him as he’s performed on sets on Radar, Deju Vu and Rinse among others. Not only does he MC, he also produces too making him an all-round artist, producing his own tracks such as ‘Hit Then Run’ and ‘Warrior’. His lyricism and work ethic makes him a serious threat for 2016.

Jammz USE

Ms Banks

21 year old Ms Banks is ready to make this year her year. The South London fiery MC is everything we need from a female MC; she’s genuine, commanding and confident. Last year saw her release a string of tracks such as ‘Hallelujah’, ‘The Get Back’ and more. Beware as she’s not afraid to take on anyone as she says on track ‘Halleljuah’ “any brothers can get it”, and you know she means it with her powerful delivery and clear cut lyrics. She means business and this year she’s also featured on Tinie Tempah’s new project on track ‘Been The Man’ with two other high profile MC’s JME and Stormzy. She will take no prisoners in 2016.

Ms-Banks

Coco

Sheffield’s Coco has shown you don’t have to be from London to be accepted in Grime. He has come through full force this year with single’s ‘Target Practice’, ‘Big Bou Yah’ and the ‘Big Bou Yah Remix’ ft Jammz, Terminator and Trigga all produced by Toddla T and receiving airplay on Radio 1, and being on the playlist on 1Xtra. His Fire In The Booth dropped on Boxing Day, confirming his status as a next to blow MC, as his lyrics and flow are untouchable, changing pace to suit different vibes. Coco sound and lyrics are different and witty and this is why he’s shut down stages at Nottinghill Carnival, various raves and Ibiza Rocks this year.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @TheCocoUK @Jammz @TRIGGASDC @DynamiteMC @Sneakbo @realmostack @REAL_JSPADES @FekkyOfficial @KingPMoney

Coco ft Jammz, Terminator & Trigga | Big Bou Yah Remix

The original for this track was big and now Coco drops the remix video on SBTV ft. Jammz, Terminator and Trigga. The momentum building for Coco is huge for him as an artist and this track where it’s on the B List at 1Xtra and is one of the best remixes of the year! Toddla T has pulled it out the bag on the remix and got in some of the UK’s hardest lyricists. Annie Mac has also named Coco as a ‘Hot For 2016’!

Dynamite MC – Ride (Dillinja VIP)

Dynamite and Dillinja bring us the VIP version of ‘Ride’ which was first released in 2004, and is sounding crisp and brand new for 2015. Premiered on Drum & Bass Arena’s site ‘Ride (Dillinja VIP)’ is sounding meatier and full of twists and turns and a naughty bassline.   Dynamite MC took to the Drum & Bass Arena Awards this month to take the Best MC title for the second year in a row and also released his solid 30-track album of heard and unheard tracks with productions from some giants in the game such as Zed Bias, Andy C, Zinc, High Contrast, Danny Byrd and more. The most well-known MC in the Drum & Bass scene is back with a fury!

Sneakbo ft. Mostack & J Spades – Right Now

Sneakbo freshens up his ‘Right Now’ track which he originally dropped on his Soundcloud back in September, enlisting another two talented MC’s Mostack and J Spades who provide a verse each. Sneakbo has kept the fire dropping all year and remained consistent and this track is no different. Mostack and J Spades add special flavour to the track giving it extra zing to make it a hit.

Fekky – Up

As we’re all waiting patiently for Fekky to drop his ‘El Classico’ debut album, he’s helped us out along the way with a brand new surprise project ‘Brandy & Coke’ which can be streamed on Soundcloud. Last week he also dropped the visuals to The Heavytrackerz produced cut ‘Up’ which has kind of quenched our thirst for the meantime. The ghostly beat and video match each other perfectly and shows off Fekky’s trappy lyrics.

P Money 10/10

P Money work’s with Sir Spyro once again for another cut which is a certified banger. ‘10/10’ is a hyped track from P, with the visuals shot at Eskimo Dance with some Grime A Lister’s such as Footsie, D Double E and Kano.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @BigFris @iamShakka @merkyACE @CADELLOFFICIAL @StickyBloodUK @TheCocoUK @JusRival @Jammz

Frisco ft Shakka – Different Kind

This isn’t the first time Frisco and Shakka have collaborated, at the beginning of this year Frisco dropped a verse on Shakka’s “Rollin With Elephants”, and he has in turn come on board for Frisco’s “Different Kind”. This track sees Frisco take an unexpected turn as he spits over a rock beat, whilst Shakka brings the fluid gold to the hook. Take a listen to “Different Kind” below, we’re sure you will be impressed.

Merky Ace x Cadell – Alive

Tizzy Gangs Merky Ace and Cadell drop the brand new black & white visuals to track “Alive”. It’s a good track to end the year on, as they both are reflective and talk about how to be valued and appreciated whilst they are here. The lyrics and visuals come across quite chilling, and the track is a definite for our tracks of the week.

Sticky Blood ft. Coco & Snowy – One Bar In

Production duo Sticky Blood show a gritty, futuristic side to their producing skills on “One Bar In”. They are joined by two of the hottest MCs from the North of England, Sheffield’s Coco who Annie Mac has named on her ‘Hot For 2016′ list and is playlisted on Kiss 100, 1Xtra, AKA and Flava TV with his single, and Nottingham MC Snowy who has gained a lot of attention this year too. Both were named on Complex’s ’15 Grime MC’s Outside Of London That You Need To Know Today’ list.

Rival ft. Blay – Alright

East London MC Rival released his latest EP ‘Eat Biscuits’ in October, named after his love for biscuits. This week saw the video for one of the tracks come out ft. Blay who also produced the track. The video and track is dark and sinister, reflecting on people that act like something they’re not and give it the big talk.

AJ Tracey ft Jammz – Bare Girls

Both AJ Tracey and Jammz are names you need to pay attention too as they are set for big things. “Bare Girls” is taken from AJ Tracey’s highly anticipated Alex Moran EP which dropped on Friday. The track shows love to the girls which is quite rare in Grime, especially when it’s in a positive way. The track is produced by Jammz too, and shows why the two are the hottest prospects for Grime.
