Pixies Tracks Of The Week @SantanDave1 @AJFromTheLane @Snow667 @RaheemBakare @TheCocoUK @OfficialDPower

Dave & AJ Tracey – Thiago Silva

Dave & AJ Tracey are two of the best up and coming, young MC’s and joining forces together makes for one hot track. For the visuals they take it from Paris where footballer Thiago Silver plays for, to Ladbroke Grove where AJ Tracey’s from, to Streatham – Dave’s hometown. This see’s the two show of their lyrical skills as they go back to back on a Prince Rapid and 169 production.

Snowy – Fucked Up

Nottingham MC Snowy drops the visuals to a track off of his recently released ‘Knots’ EP. ‘Fucked Up’ talks through the trials and tribulations of his life over a melancholy, dark beat produced by Riddla. The visuals, beat and lyrics match each other perfectly and you can see it’s been well thought out, check it out below.

Raheem Bakare – Forever You

Raheem Bakare the soulful UK singer, takes us on a journey around London and Amsterdam for his new video for ‘Forever You.’ Raheem pays homage to the golden days of R&B, but brings a fresh innovative twist. He is one of the UK’s freshest, rawest and honest talents that is due to be huge. Let Raheem take you on a journey of a broken man, whose fate changes.

Coco ft. AJ Tracey & Nadia Rose – Big N Serious Remix

Three hot Grime MC’s link up for Coco’s ‘Big N Serious’ remix and now we have been gifted the visuals to match. With their 3 different styles and flows, they still all manage to murk the track whilst complementing each other. With Toddla T on production, this one is going to be a future classic riddim for sure.

D Power ft. Frisco & Lay-Z – Like Dem

D Power brings us cartoon visuals for his new track ‘Like Dem,’ which is the 2nd release from his forthcoming mixtape ‘Progress 3’ released 2nd June. The east London MC is joined by Boy Better Know’s Frisco and Lay-Z for this hard new track produced by Audio Slugs.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @TheCocoUK @MajorB2DAL @RATLIN @chaseandstatus @Novelist @Wretch32 @WilkinsonUK

Coco ft. AJ Tracey & Nadia Rose – Big N Serious Remix

Sheffield Grime MC Coco’s latest track “Big N Serious” has been creating waves on the radio, online and on the TV for months now. The track has now been giving an official remix with two of Grime’s newest and hottest MC’s AJ Tracey and Nadia Rose also jumping on the track to add their magic. The levels of lyricism on this track are mental, and the three MC’s discuss everything from fakes, snakes, to mums.

Milli Major ft. Doctor – Merking

Bloodline representative Milli Major is back with an exciting new video “Merking” with a feature from Doctor. Milli destroys the track like a don does with his innate vocals and lyrics over a thumping 140 riddim. Doctor switches things up bringing a Dancehall vibe to the hook and immediately launches into a verse too.

Ratlin ft. Ayo Beatz – Never Doubt

Ratlin is back on his A-game with this brand new one “Never Doubt”. He brings in Ayo Beatz for the auto-tuned hook. This one sees Ratlin reaching for the sky for this inspiring track where he talks money, power and respect. We see Ratlin driving around in a very nice white Mercedes in the visuals and shots with his friends too. We should be seeing a lot more from the West London rapper who has been a little quiet lately.

Chase & Status ft. Novelist – NRG

Chase & Status have brought us some of the biggest anthems and after their latest London Bars series, with one of their tracks ft. Novelist “Bigger Man Sound”, they have joined forces again with him for brand new one “NRG”. Opening with a Prodigy sound, the track then launches into a bass fuelled, synth driven track, with Novelist showering it down with his bars.

Wilkinson And Wretch 32 – Flatline

After hearing the audio to this track already, we now have the energetic and fun visuals to match Wilkinson and Wretch 32’s joint track for “Flatline”. What a banger!

Five Emcees To Watch Out For In 2016 @UncleMez @AJFromTheLane @Jammz @MsBanks94 @TheCocoUK

Mez

Mez is definitely the next in Grime. A young Nottingham artist from Crew 12, he started 2015 on a high by spitting bars on Sir Spryo’s Grime Show on Rinse FM. The rest of 2015 saw some pretty big accomplishments for him such as being on the legendary Lord Of The Mics series where he battled Trappy, putting out a single with DJ Cable ‘One Line Flows’, going on Stormzy’s ‘Live In The Flesh’ tour, performing live at the Boiler Room x Eskimo Dance alongside artists such as Ghetts and last but not least being asked to record for the Grime Live Orchestra at Maida Vale on a session back to back with AJ Tracey. He has serious energy and a lyrical badness that’s not to be messed with.

Mez

 AJ Tracey

West London’s AJ Tracey has had a lot of heat surrounding his name due to the amount of hard work and consistency. He has flourished in 2015. He represents Grime’s original days, where MC’s would go to pirate radio as much as they could for the love and commitment they have for the music. He has been putting in the work on radio shows in 2015 from Rinse to NTS to Radar Radio and 1Xtra. This shine’s through in his bodies of work he has released in 2015, his two EP’s ‘The Front’ and ‘Alex Moran’, as well as individual singles such as ‘Spirit Bomb’ and freestyles where his wordplay shines.

Jammz

East Londoner Jammz has really struck out this year. I’ve seen him MC’ing on sets with Plastician at festivals and raves such as Ceremony Festival where he drew the crowd in like a pro. This year has been a fantastic year for him; he released his ‘Hit Then Run’ EP in March, and if you listen to radio, well you can’t miss him as he’s performed on sets on Radar, Deju Vu and Rinse among others. Not only does he MC, he also produces too making him an all-round artist, producing his own tracks such as ‘Hit Then Run’ and ‘Warrior’. His lyricism and work ethic makes him a serious threat for 2016.

Jammz USE

Ms Banks

21 year old Ms Banks is ready to make this year her year. The South London fiery MC is everything we need from a female MC; she’s genuine, commanding and confident. Last year saw her release a string of tracks such as ‘Hallelujah’, ‘The Get Back’ and more. Beware as she’s not afraid to take on anyone as she says on track ‘Halleljuah’ “any brothers can get it”, and you know she means it with her powerful delivery and clear cut lyrics. She means business and this year she’s also featured on Tinie Tempah’s new project on track ‘Been The Man’ with two other high profile MC’s JME and Stormzy. She will take no prisoners in 2016.

Ms-Banks

Coco

Sheffield’s Coco has shown you don’t have to be from London to be accepted in Grime. He has come through full force this year with single’s ‘Target Practice’, ‘Big Bou Yah’ and the ‘Big Bou Yah Remix’ ft Jammz, Terminator and Trigga all produced by Toddla T and receiving airplay on Radio 1, and being on the playlist on 1Xtra. His Fire In The Booth dropped on Boxing Day, confirming his status as a next to blow MC, as his lyrics and flow are untouchable, changing pace to suit different vibes. Coco sound and lyrics are different and witty and this is why he’s shut down stages at Nottinghill Carnival, various raves and Ibiza Rocks this year.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @TheCocoUK @Jammz @TRIGGASDC @DynamiteMC @Sneakbo @realmostack @REAL_JSPADES @FekkyOfficial @KingPMoney

Coco ft Jammz, Terminator & Trigga | Big Bou Yah Remix

The original for this track was big and now Coco drops the remix video on SBTV ft. Jammz, Terminator and Trigga. The momentum building for Coco is huge for him as an artist and this track where it’s on the B List at 1Xtra and is one of the best remixes of the year! Toddla T has pulled it out the bag on the remix and got in some of the UK’s hardest lyricists. Annie Mac has also named Coco as a ‘Hot For 2016’!

Dynamite MC – Ride (Dillinja VIP)

Dynamite and Dillinja bring us the VIP version of ‘Ride’ which was first released in 2004, and is sounding crisp and brand new for 2015. Premiered on Drum & Bass Arena’s site ‘Ride (Dillinja VIP)’ is sounding meatier and full of twists and turns and a naughty bassline.   Dynamite MC took to the Drum & Bass Arena Awards this month to take the Best MC title for the second year in a row and also released his solid 30-track album of heard and unheard tracks with productions from some giants in the game such as Zed Bias, Andy C, Zinc, High Contrast, Danny Byrd and more. The most well-known MC in the Drum & Bass scene is back with a fury!

Sneakbo ft. Mostack & J Spades – Right Now

Sneakbo freshens up his ‘Right Now’ track which he originally dropped on his Soundcloud back in September, enlisting another two talented MC’s Mostack and J Spades who provide a verse each. Sneakbo has kept the fire dropping all year and remained consistent and this track is no different. Mostack and J Spades add special flavour to the track giving it extra zing to make it a hit.

Fekky – Up

As we’re all waiting patiently for Fekky to drop his ‘El Classico’ debut album, he’s helped us out along the way with a brand new surprise project ‘Brandy & Coke’ which can be streamed on Soundcloud. Last week he also dropped the visuals to The Heavytrackerz produced cut ‘Up’ which has kind of quenched our thirst for the meantime. The ghostly beat and video match each other perfectly and shows off Fekky’s trappy lyrics.

P Money 10/10

P Money work’s with Sir Spyro once again for another cut which is a certified banger. ‘10/10’ is a hyped track from P, with the visuals shot at Eskimo Dance with some Grime A Lister’s such as Footsie, D Double E and Kano.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @CokesM3 @IvyLab_ @FekyOfficial @YoungsTeflon

Coco – Target Practice

Renowned Sheffield Grime artist Coco drops a fresh, new track “Target Practice” with production from another Sheffield native and legendary BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra DJ Toddla T. Coco really shines on this track as he goes in hard with his bars with straight fire and no hooks over a dark, sub heavy instrumental. Watch out for him as he has started to become on tastemakers radars and is one to watch.

Ivy lab – Focus

Ahead of their Fabric appearance, Ivy Lab drop “Focus” as a free download. The London trio of prolific D&B producers give us a treat with this track for a dancefloor filler, velvet roller that has both harsh and smooth elements too it. It has an emotive depth to it too. If you like what you hear make sure you head down to catch them in EC1.

Fekky ft Skepta – Way Too Much

It’s been around a year since Fekky and Skepta linked up for a collaboration for a remix. Now they join forces again for Fekky’s brand new single “Way Too Much” where Boy Better Know’s Skepta provides the hook and a verse over the minimal production, allowing the lyrics to take center stage. This is UK music at it’s best, with road rap and Grime joining for a banging track. Fekky’s album El Clasico will be dropping soon too.

Youngs Teflon – Run DMC

South London MC Youngs Teflon returns with “Run DMC” bringing the Summer vibes with his video. The instrumental has a melancholic, ethereal feel with Tefs dropping some truthful, hard-hitting bars.
