Rapper, singer and songwriter C Cane releases a banger of a track ‘Bad To Da Bone’ which sees her provide sweet, melodic vocals throughout the hook and lay down feisty lyrics on the verses with her trademark flow, providing us an insight into the music industry where she describes a lack of loyalty and respect.

Shystie – Wake Up

Shystie has burst back onto the scene with ‘Wake Up’ a heavy D&B track that has already begun to turn heads. It’s already been Record Of The Week on 1Xtra after Mistajam took the premiere. The powerful, cinematic visuals show modern day slavery and human trafficking, something Shystie feels strongly about. Shystie provides sweet, soul filled vocals over a tropical beat.

Dave & AJ Tracey – Thiago Silva

Dave & AJ Tracey are two of the best up and coming, young MC’s and joining forces together makes for one hot track. For the visuals they take it from Paris where footballer Thiago Silver plays for, to Ladbroke Grove where AJ Tracey’s from, to Streatham – Dave’s hometown. This see’s the two show of their lyrical skills as they go back to back on a Prince Rapid and 169 production.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @JorjaSmith @LethalBizzle @ThisIsAngel @LittleTorment @iamSaintP @TheReal_PK @Lyrical_Strally @StickyBloodUK

Jorja Smith – Blue Lights

There has been a vastly notable spread of impressive female vocalist emerging recently and Jorja Smith is one to add to them. The 18 year old singer released the visuals to her debut single ‘Blue Lights’ and has set the internet alight with this stunning track and her enthralling vocals. She sings in ‘Blue Lights’ about what she sees going on around her, sampling Dizzee Rascal’s ‘Sirens’ a song she describe as “the beginning of my journey,” she then tells the person she’s talking about to run.

Lethal Bizzle ft. JME & Face – BOX

Lethal Bizzle is back with another Diztortion production and enlists one of his old Fire Camp members Face & Boy Better Know’s JME for his hot new single BOX, which is set to top the charts. The video set in a boxing gym has a comical side and makes it fun to watch. It also matches the video’s energy and theme to the track. You can see this is going to be an anthem for the workouts, summertime and festivals.

Angel ft. Haile – Rudeboy

Angel is kicking off 2016 by reminding us he’s still a ‘Rudeboy’ with his brand new single featuring WSTRN’s Haile who lends him accompanying vocals to the hook. It’s great to see Angel back and fresh with a nice new banger that we are going to be hearing a lot of on the radio and clubs. He’s been in the States working with Grammy award winning producer Swizz Beats among others, and we’re likely to see his debut album drop this year too.

Little Torment – So Many Nights

We haven’t heard too much of the South London rapper Little Torment recently, so it’s good to see some new visuals from him. ‘So Many Nights’ comes from Fumez The Engineer’s forthcoming ‘The Mix-tape’ which drops on March 13th and sees other UK artists on it such as Cadet, MS Banks, Joe Black and many more. Torment takes a old skool sounding beat wrapped with a soulful melody in a studio video.

YGG – Don’t Talk Like That

YGG follow up their debut single ‘Okay’ with this banger ‘Don’t Like That’ with Empra on the production. The North West London Grime trio made up of Lyrical Strally, PK & Saint P drop some sizzling bars infused with wordplay. This track is harder than the previous one and will definitely be turning heads and get people skanking out on the dancefloor.

Sticky Blood ft. Snowy & Yxngz – Garn Again

Sticky Blood are the unstoppable duo from Sheffield who are literally putting out release after release and their newest one ‘Garn Again’ is a straight up riddim. With meaty punchlines from Snowy who gives nods to the Grime scenes Godfathers and Yxngz who offers an harmonious hook and slips into the role of an MC adding a verse at the end, it’s a R&G track you’ll not want to stop playing.

Five Emcee’s To Watch Out For In 2015 – @IsaiahDreads @swiftsqueeze4p @Novelist @SNOW667 @ThePotterBk @sleeks300 @inchawali101

I’ve named 5 of my top five artists to watch out for in 2015. See who I think has what it takes below and why…

Isaiah Dreads

A 16 year old grime MC from the West Country. He can already add to his credits performing at Glastonbury, Wireless and Isle of Wight as well as being Zane Low’s ‘Next Hype’ & Mistajam’s ‘Radio Ripper’ for track ‘U See Me’ produced by Preditah. He’s also received co-signs from other radio tastemakers Toddla T & DJ Target. Watch out for more from him this year including a mixtape.

Section Boyz

These guys have been on my radar for a while. A collective of rappers from South London including Swift, Deepee, Sleeks, Knine, Inch, Littlez & Reeko. 2014 saw them really cause a stir and got a lot more people taking notice especially with track ‘Delete My Number’ and mixtape ‘Sectionly’ making a big impact on the underground rap scene. 2015 should see the boys tighten up their game and really shine.

SectionBoyz

Novelist

I first met him in late 2013 and as I saw him freestyle in front of just a few people for a press day I was running I knew I was witnessing something special. Now he has everyone talking, the freestyle on Toddla T’s show over ‘Incredible’ was insane and he has released material on Rinse with Mumdance and now has signed to the legendary XL Recordings for new EP ‘1 Sec’. Founder of Lewisham grime crew The Square; they are essentially going to be the crew in years to come that rule.

Novelist

 Snowy

18 and from Nottingham, I spotted Snowy on social networks and a freestyle video on UGX with some of the other cities sick MC’s such as Dubzy, Vigilant and Fangol and DJ Cameo’s Gimme Grime freestyle alongside Manga and another that’s hotly tipped this year Izzie Gibbs. He really began to get recognition in 2013/2014 and in 2015 I look forward to hearing some really exciting new material from him. Go check out his soundcloud where you can hear two EP’s from him.

Potter Payper

This Essex rapper has been about on the underground for a little while, but incarcerations have held him back. 2015 should be his year and we will see a new project very soon to be exact 15/01/15 called ‘24’. Last year saw a host of videos and his mixtape ‘Training Day’ be released as well as an epic ‘Fire In The Booth’, ‘Crib Session’ on Westwood TV ‘Warm Up’ on SBTV and a lot more. On instagram we’ve seen potential collabs with Donae’o and Bonkaz. Watch out for him!
