Pixies Tracks Of The Week @izzieGibbs @donaeo @oppsnextdoor @LethalBizzle @ReekoSqueeze @YellowsUk

Izzie Gibbs ft. Donae’O – Chillin

Dice Recording artist Izzie Gibbs gives us another straight-fire riddim ‘Chillin’ produced by Maniac which features Donae’o on the hook. The track and visuals show how they like to Netflix and Chill with Izzie’s flow fast and manic and his lyrics a bit naughty. Izzie told SBTV, “Maniac blessed me with the fire riddim I knew it was SICK but when I sent it to Donae’O and he sent the chorus back in like 20 mins, that fully gassed me and I banged it out straight away.”

Tizzy Gang – Old School Roadman Jacket

Tizzy Gang’s Tre Mission and Merky Ace release the first visual off of their forthcoming mixtape, ‘Opps Next Door’. The record represents the transatlantic spread of grime with Tre Mission also being hailed as the first international grime emcee. Both emcees lay down greezy lyrics over a sinister beat that is sure to get a wheel up in every grime rave.

Lethal Bizzle ft. Skepta – I Win

Although there has been a delay with Lethal Bizzle’s album ‘Lennox Rd,’ Bizzle is hitting us with an EP, ‘You’ll Never Make A Million From Grime,’ a title aimed at the haters. He gives us the first visual from the EP that features another grime king, Skepta who also produced the track along with adding a verse and hook. The two heavyweights of course have made a winning track and the video comes complete with some sick cars and bikes.

Reeko Squeeze ft. Donae’o – Beginning

A cold, cold tune track from Reeko Squeeze which features Donae’o who comes in first on the track with the hook which is a rather inspiring one talking about how he’s in it to win it! Reeko then comes in with some his inspirational bars and also mischievous lyrics about women. The visuals show both of them at night with views of London in the background.

Yellows – Cure Remix

North London rapper Yellows takes Fish Go Deep ‘The Cure & The Cause’ track remixing it for his track ‘Cure Remix.’ He talks about road life, stacking money and the video shows him and his girl arguing and her being at home trying to get hold of him and him locking calls off. This is a hard track with a very good remix of a house track that Yellows has absolutely killed. Props.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @SNOW667 @LethalBizzle @ScorchersLife @Davinche @DevlinOfficial

Snowy – Idris Elba

Nottingham MC Snowy’s workrate is incredible, and he drops a new one for us titled ‘Idris Elba,’ paying homage to someone who is inspirational to him. It’s a strong track full of intelligent bars and witty wordplay from one of this years serious one to watch Grime MC’s.

Lethal Bizzle feat. Giggs & Flowdan – Round Here

Lethal Bizzle releases the first single from his forthcoming album ‘Lennox Rd,’ and it’s a cold one. The Heavytrackerz bring us a instrumental full of drama and suspense whilst Bizzle bring us heavy-duty, aggressive bars, and Giggs well Giggs he definitely shows up some Grime MC’s as he goes innnnnnn on this track whilst Flowdan helps out Bizzle on the hook. This is a banger!

Scorcher – Paranoid

Scorcher brings us a dark & determined track to kick off his 2017 produced by Donaeo’ who also adds some of his recognisable adlibs to the track. It’s full of sinister twists and turns and shows off Scorchers lyrical ability and set of flows he has.

Davinche – Scorcher, Ghetts, Mercston, Mikill Pane and  Sam Sure – Powers

Davinche is set to release his brand new album ‘Powers’ where he had 2 weeks with 32 artists to create this project. The first video is a powerful track from three of Grime’s most influential MC’s Scorcher, Ghetts and Mercston who go back and forth over a dramatic instrumental from Davinche, whilst Mikill Pane intro’s the track with a spoken word delivery.

Devlin – Blow Your Mind ft. Maverick Sabre

Three years on since collaborating, Devlin and Maverick Sabre are back at it making beautiful music. ‘Blow Your Mind’ will be on Devlin’s forthcoming album ‘The Devil In,’ and shows Devlin rap in double time whilst Mavrick Sabre handles the hook soulfully like he does.

Pixies Tracks Of The Week @JorjaSmith @LethalBizzle @ThisIsAngel @LittleTorment @iamSaintP @TheReal_PK @Lyrical_Strally @StickyBloodUK

Jorja Smith – Blue Lights

There has been a vastly notable spread of impressive female vocalist emerging recently and Jorja Smith is one to add to them. The 18 year old singer released the visuals to her debut single ‘Blue Lights’ and has set the internet alight with this stunning track and her enthralling vocals. She sings in ‘Blue Lights’ about what she sees going on around her, sampling Dizzee Rascal’s ‘Sirens’ a song she describe as “the beginning of my journey,” she then tells the person she’s talking about to run.

Lethal Bizzle ft. JME & Face – BOX

Lethal Bizzle is back with another Diztortion production and enlists one of his old Fire Camp members Face & Boy Better Know’s JME for his hot new single BOX, which is set to top the charts. The video set in a boxing gym has a comical side and makes it fun to watch. It also matches the video’s energy and theme to the track. You can see this is going to be an anthem for the workouts, summertime and festivals.

Angel ft. Haile – Rudeboy

Angel is kicking off 2016 by reminding us he’s still a ‘Rudeboy’ with his brand new single featuring WSTRN’s Haile who lends him accompanying vocals to the hook. It’s great to see Angel back and fresh with a nice new banger that we are going to be hearing a lot of on the radio and clubs. He’s been in the States working with Grammy award winning producer Swizz Beats among others, and we’re likely to see his debut album drop this year too.

Little Torment – So Many Nights

We haven’t heard too much of the South London rapper Little Torment recently, so it’s good to see some new visuals from him. ‘So Many Nights’ comes from Fumez The Engineer’s forthcoming ‘The Mix-tape’ which drops on March 13th and sees other UK artists on it such as Cadet, MS Banks, Joe Black and many more. Torment takes a old skool sounding beat wrapped with a soulful melody in a studio video.

YGG – Don’t Talk Like That

YGG follow up their debut single ‘Okay’ with this banger ‘Don’t Like That’ with Empra on the production. The North West London Grime trio made up of Lyrical Strally, PK & Saint P drop some sizzling bars infused with wordplay. This track is harder than the previous one and will definitely be turning heads and get people skanking out on the dancefloor.

Sticky Blood ft. Snowy & Yxngz – Garn Again

Sticky Blood are the unstoppable duo from Sheffield who are literally putting out release after release and their newest one ‘Garn Again’ is a straight up riddim. With meaty punchlines from Snowy who gives nods to the Grime scenes Godfathers and Yxngz who offers an harmonious hook and slips into the role of an MC adding a verse at the end, it’s a R&G track you’ll not want to stop playing.

Saturday Review: Reading Festival 2015 [Review] (@OfficialRandL)

Arriving on Saturday at Reading Festival and setting up my tent for the next few days we headed straight to the press tent to see the line-up and times for the day. Deciding to catch Dimension and Kove’s set on the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage first was a brilliant decision and really hyped us up for the rest of the day. They started the set with some heavy drum & bass tracks then leading into some lighter house tracks also playing their collaborative track ‘Feel Love Again’.

Next up was the 1Xtra tent to catch the hypest Grime MC Tempa T who performed a intense set to a packed tent, we could barely squeeze in so unfortunately had to watch from the outside. We hurried back to the dance tent to catch Secondcity who played their hit single ‘I Wanna Feel’ and got the crowd moving and ready for the evening.

I’d heard a lot about Royal Blood, but hadn’t really listened to a lot of their music, so now was the time as they were up next on the Main Stage. I was pleasantly surprised to find how much I enjoyed their music. They were definitely one of the stand out performances for me over the 2 days I was at Reading. Their performance was simply stunning and I felt the bass shudder through me. Mike & Ben have won a new fan.

Ms Dynamite is someone I’ve watched perform many times live, but never fails to disappoint, so over to the 1Xtra stage it was. The atmosphere in the crowd was electric and was dancing from start to finish while she performed tracks such as ‘Dibby Dibby Sound’, and ‘Wile Out’.

Veteran hip hop DJ Semtex took over from Ms Dynamite on the decks spinning old and new hip hop tracks for an hour before the illustrious Lethal Bizzle took to the stage. The 1Xtra tent slowly got more and more busy before Bizzle’s set and was overflowing to the outside. The more brave took to the centre where the mosh pits were going to start especially crazy when he performed hit single ‘Pow’. The Grime MC also performed recent hits ‘Fester Skank’ and ‘Rari Workout’.

Headlining the main stage were Metallica the famous rock bank who burned bright and kept festival goers entertained and happy even watching them under the rain. They kept their status strong at Reading as one of the most powerful live bands and I was stunned as I watched them. Towards the end of their set they let out giant inflatable balloons in the crowd showing their playful side. This is a performance I won’t ever forget.

Rebel

Last but not least I headed to the NME/ BBC Radio 1 Stage to catch Rebel Sound who are made up of three generations of DJ’s; Sir David Rodigan, Digital Soundboy’s Shy FX and Chase & Status who played to a full tent dubplates, reggae and jungle tunes which left Reading on a high on Saturday night.

MTV Wrap Up – UK Rap Rundown [News]

Spit TV brought to you by We Hustle TV re-launched last Sunday on Channel AKA – it began about ten years ago on Channel U, before the days of Youtube and Twitter. This is where the best emcess from the UK are invited to spit for around three minutes. Ras Kwame the host described it as ‘one take, one mic, one spit’. Link-Up TV released a behind-the-scenes video along with the visuals for the Eurogang and Frisco freestyles. Look forward to seeing the likes of Benny BanksJoe BlackGekoGriminalScrufizzerCoops and many more…

An array of some of the hottest UK grime and rap emcees come together for the remix of Lethal Bizzle’s ‘They Got It Wrong’ originally featuring WileyKrept & KonanKano and Squeeksjumped on the remix to make it an all-star cast.

Another remix to drop last week was Sneakbo’s ‘Ring A Ling’ which saw Wiley and Krept & Konan give the Brixton rapper some heavy-duty verses on his next summer club banger. Expect to see a video for this one soon, as the track is released in July.

Young Spray reminds people that Northstar are originals in new track ‘Pull Your Pants Up’. “Only saw So Solid’s before the North Star Chain, only knew PDC when North Chain came. I saw the best come and go; the rest are dumb and slow.” He also shows respect to GiggsBlade Brown and Asher D in the track.

Shak Corleone released the video to ‘Voice Of The Streets’ from his latest mixtape ‘Purgatory’. The Brixton rapper keeps it 100% road rap with the track featuring Lil Torment, Skore Beezy and Don Slice who all spit hard street bars.

PW is definitely a rapper who has a lot of heat surrounding him right now with a lot of co-signs from DappyCover Drive and The Saturdays. His latest release ‘From PW With Love’ was well received and last week saw him drop the visuals to featured track ‘Here With You’.

UK rap veteran Mike GLC was the next up on SB.TV for his 3rd Degree freestyle. He spits over some classic joints with his effortless flow, showing people how it’s done.

Benny Banks gave us the visuals to track ‘48 Freestyle 1&2’ off his new mixtape ‘Patiently Waiting Vol 2’ which is available to download for free. The two laid back instrumentals allow for Benny to drop his classic relaxed flows which he is known for.
